so today i bought a 7.5 lb boston butt while grocery shopping and came straight home and preheated the oven to 300. i generously rubbed the butt with paula deen's butt massage and a house seasoning that we made (salt, pepper, garlic powder) and put it in the cast iron pot with the lid on. placed it in the oven at 1:30 and took it out at 8. the house smelled amazing all day. it literally falls apart while it is cooking. we just drained all the grease out of the pot and pulled the pork to the texture that we like. i also made a vinegar based bbq sauce (there is no recipe because i just eyeballed everything). tomorrow night--pulled pork sandwhiches. we will have pork for days!
p.s. we store the sauce in an empty boone's farm bottle. cause we're classy.

i love vinegar based sauce. i've never made it... what all goes in? i know you said amounts were eyeballed.. but i don't even know what to add! i've always bought bottles from whispering pines in albemarle.
